Mark Whiting has done several building projects for me on personal and commercial properties since 2002. From small jobs to very large and complex jobs, every one has been completed to an extremely high standard with the utmost professionalism and I have always been happy with every aspect of the building process. The extra care and attention taken by Mark and his team has always been impressive as they work to deadlines with extra time taken during many walk throughs to make sure I have had details done just the way I wanted. Small changes or adjustments along the way seem not to be a big issue at all and when it came to the finish work on the inside and outside the team always had good suggestions to make it seem just right. Throughout every building process they have always let me know if anything affected my budget.

Mark Whiting undertook building works for us in 2008 and 2010. Both times, he accompanied us from the beginning with sound and well-thought through advice on the best solutions for rebuilding our house, that had been built, rather badly, in the 1970s. During the building work, Mark and his team of three were helpful, polite and coped with every obstacle thrown in their way professionally and efficiently. Due to the previous poor build of our house there were a number of unforeseen problems, that Mark sorted out to everyone’s satisfaction. Mark works closely with an excellent draftsman, a plumber and electrician, and has other contacts which means that the work goes smoothly.We have recommended Mark to several friends and all of them have also been very happy with his work.

We had a lath and plaster ceiling taken down in our living room, timber beams exposed and a six metre structural support beam installed. All the work was completed to a good standard and the work started and finished on schedule. The site was left clean and tidy on hand over. We would be pleased to recommend Mark Whiting Builders.

Mark Whiting and his team built a two-storey extension on our house in Spring 2011 and we have nothing but praise for them. Firstly, out of the five builders we contacted for a quotation, Mark was the only one who took the time to come and visit us in order to discuss our plans and then respond with a thorough breakdown of costs. When we were unable to afford all of the work suggested by our initial architect, Mark introduced us to an architect he knew and, between them, they worked tirelessly to help us reach an affordable solution without compromising the quality of the build. In fact, if it hadn’t been for their hard work and understanding of our requirements, the build probably wouldn’t have gone ahead at all. During the build, Mark and his team exceeded all our expectations and provided us with an outstanding level of craftsmanship and customer service. Mark’s expertise and attention to detail are second-to-none and he really excels in customer care, always finding solutions to problems before you’re even aware they exist. Our neighbours and friends were so impressed with his work that several of them asked for his contact details and we were very happy to oblige. We cannot recommend him highly enough!
